You may want to convert your existing SmartVersion patches from regular patches to minimal patches, or vice versa. This may be the case if:
You created a regular patch, but want to distribute your patch to end-users who already have your product's starting version installed.
You created a minimal patch, but you want to distribute your patch to end-users who may not have your product's starting version installed.
You created a minimal patch, but want to make this patch complete in itself, so that it will contain all versions of the product on its own, without any external dependencies.
To convert a patch:
Open the patch to convert.
Build a Partial Patch from this patch:
Make sure to include all versions in your current patch inside the Partial Patch as well. This assures that your patch is not partial but complete.
While building the Partial Patch, you will be able to choose whether to include your initial version inside the patch, or exclude it from the patch. Therefore this is where you will convert your patch to a regular or minimal patch.
